Post 53 – Running to Creativity for Relief

Michaele AlexanderA Grand Discovery

When I am a conduit for creativity in the present moment I can run from the pain to the quiet of being.  The pain is not toil, though it can be, the pain is not attitude, though it can be.  Neither is it opportunity, though indeed it can be.  The pain is disruptive and unfair, incomprehensible in its reason for being at times.  The pain does not belong, yet is here anyway.  So I do the best with the energy and attention I have to not just look, but focus my being elsewhere and forgive the pain and myself for participating in it when I neglect to do so.  In the moments when I acknowledge the responsibility I carry to bring past, present and future together, pain ceases to exist in myself and all the world.
